This week, Lionsgate releases in theaters the new film from the iconic action director John Woo, SILENT NIGHT, a revenge thriller that will leave many speechless.

We recently had the honor of speaking with the maestro himself (Hard Target, Broken Arrow, Face/Off, Mission: Impossible 2) and the super talented star of the movie, Joel Kinnaman (RoboCop, The Suicide Squad, Run All Night, For All Mankind, The Darkest Hour).

Woo explained why he was very excited about tackling “the experiment” of telling a story dialogue-free, while the actor talked about his character’s dramatic and high-octane journey.

The film also stars Scott Mescudi, Harold Torres and Catalina Sandino Moreno.

SILENT NIGHT opens in theaters nationwide, this Friday Dic. 1.

From legendary director John Woo and the producer of John Wick comes this gritty revenge tale of a tormented father (Joel Kinnaman) who witnesses his young son die when caught in a gang’s crossfire on Christmas Eve. While recovering from a wound that costs him his voice, he makes vengeance his life’s mission and embarks on a punishing training regimen in order to avenge his son’s death. Full of Woo’s signature style, Silent Night redefines the action genre with visceral, thrill-a-minute storytelling.
