The Conjuring: Priest Blesses ‘Demon Protection Kits’ (Video) + Full Photo Gallery

A lot of mystery surrounded a special screening of The Conjuring (out July 19) in Los Angeles. Dozens of small white bags were laying on top of a table. Their content was revealed when a real priest grabbed the microphone.

After talking about the religious connotations of the horror movie, he blessed the “Demon Protection Kits”. The souvenirs contained holy water, a rosary and more.

Yes, it is a clever marketing gimmick. But I believe that the positive influence that the Church could have should be used in more important fronts. What do you think?
