The animated film “The Nut Job” (in theaters and 3D, Friday Jan. 17) follows a group of rodents that try to grab a nutritious booty: Enough nuts to feed the inhabitants of their park for an entire winter.

The cast giving life with their voices to these characters are talents like Liam Neeson, Brendan Fraiser and Gabriel Iglesias. I was fortunate enough to talk in person with the protagonists Katherine Heigl and Will Arnett, who play the squirrels Andie and Surly , respectively.

We asked if they feel the responsibility of being in the first film that many children see in their lives, what really motivates them and if they can really enjoy the animated movies they make.
