After a successful run in Los Angeles, ‘Florencia en el Amazonas’ will have its two last presentations on Thursday, December 18, and Saturday, Dec. 20, 7:30 PM at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

The opera is inspired by Gabriel García Márquez’ stories and features a score by Daniel Catán, the composer of Il Postino. Amazing Latino sopranos like Chilean Verónica Villarroel (Florencia) and Cuban-American Lisette Oropesa bring the rich text to life.
