I recently had the pleasure of interviewing part of the incredibly talented cast of the new action thriller TRIPLE 9 (in theaters Feb. 26). Those exciting conversations will be published soon!

Now, I want to share with you what happened when I asked CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR’s Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Falcon) and DOCTOR STRANGE’s Chiwetel Ejiofor (Baron Mordo) to pick the best 2016 specimen of the genre.

DH: Civil War, Doctor Strange. Which one will be the best superhero movie of the year?

Chiwetel Ejiofor: Doctor Strange.

Anthony Mackie: I give you that. Doctor Strange. Just from the artwork that I have seen, it’s gonna be so different, so far out and so creatively stimulating that’s going to blow everything out of the water.

I expected both to support their respective films and have a fun “mine is better!” interaction. However, Mackie took the opportunity to express his genuine excitement for Scott Derrickson’s movie.

I guess that the Russo Brothers would prefer their actors choosing “Team Civil War” above all. But who can blame anyone for falling under the spell of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme?

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR hits theaters on May 6. DOCTOR STRANGE arrives on Nov. 4.
